Last night I went to the It’s a Kling Thing House to see Mansions, Now, Now, Sligshot Dakota and Cities & Years. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mansions. I saw him open for Jarrod Gorbel last year and I’ve been internet stalking him ever since. I had never heard Now, Now or Slingshot Dakota, but both of them were really great. I feel biased about Cities & Years since I’ve known Ben and Shane forever, but from seeing them previously, I can say that they are significantly improving and it was wonderful to see new people completely digging them. It’s been awhile since I’ve gone to a Kling house show and I don’t know why. I’ve never had anything but an amazing time in that tiny  basement. Good time, good people, good music.
